On a cold and blustery day a group of members boarded a bus bound for Washington, D.C. for the Inauguration of President Obama and Delaware's own Vice-President Biden. These members were among the 400 plus members of the DVFA and LADVFA representing the Delaware Fire Service on this historical event. The fire service contingent was led by DVFA President Warren Jones. The Citizens Hose Band provided the music and apparatus from the Elsmere, Clayton, and Memorial Fire Companies also participated. Holloway Terrace members in attendance were Vice-President Charles Sheridan, Asst. Engineer Wayne Whalen Sr., Secretary Terri Reed, Financial Secretary Jayne Maxwell, Firefighter/E.M.T. Eugene Emmell, and Firefighter Edward Roache. Our Ladies Auxiliary in attendance were President Mildred Garcia, Karen Barlow, Catie Hudson, Stephanie Goodyear, Beverly Dorrin, and Ronnie Roberts. Also in attendance working a security detail with the Delaware Army National Guard was Rescue Captain Mike Emmell.
