It is with deep regret that the Officers and Members of the Odessa Fire Company announce the passing of Active Firefighter Robert C. Rollins. Bob joined the Odessa Fire Company on August 14, 2006 and always gave 100% to everything he was involved in. He enjoyed many parts of the fire service, but enjoyed rescue diving and vehicle rescue the most. He had completed numerous training classes and was a certified diver with the New Castle County Dive Team. Bob was awarded the Chiefs Award at the company banquet in March 2007. Bob loved the fire service as much as his family, which included his wife Lori and daughter Nicole joining in September 2006. In March of 2008 his daughter Shelby became an active member when she turned 16 years old. Bob is survived by his wife Lori,3 daughters Nicole(19), Shelby(16)and Page(11), mother and father - Mr. and Mrs. Rollins, 3 sisters -Barbra, Carol, Connie and a brother Ed. The viewing will be Sunday evening at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Middletown from 6:00 pm unitl 8:00 pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be on Monday at 10:00 am. Bob will be laid to rest at St. Marys Star of the Sea in Golden Hill, MD. Bob will be missed by all who ever met him and will always be know for his love and dedication to his family and friends.
