An ambulance from Mid-Sussex Rescue transporting a patient to the Beebe Medical Center was involved in an accident when it swerved to avoid a deer in the roadway. Sussex County Paramedic Stephanie Calloway and patient Betty J. Hall died in the crash. EMT’s Brice Hickman and Michael Wissman were injured in the accident and being treated at the Beebe Medical Center. Stephanie leaves behind a 2 small children and a husband. Stephanie touched so many lives, she was not just a paramedic, but a teacher, a friend and someone who would always be there to support you in anyway she could. Stephanie left this world too soon. She will always be in alot of people’s hearts and lives and she will continue to shine down on us and direct us back on path if we wonder off.
