A large group of friends, family, co-workers, dignitaries, and municipal agencies were on hand today to welcome home the 148 members of the Delaware Army National Guard's 153rd Military Police Company. The company provided support and security to the Iraq police training facilities and participated in more than 650 missions. As the unit marched into the hanger they were greeted with cheers from the crowd. The unit was escorted towards the hanger by the New Castle County Mounted patrol, various agency motorcycle units, and following the unit towards the hanger were apparatus from Mill Creek, Holloway Terrace, Smyrna, and the Delaware State Police. The Wilmington Manor Fire Company and the Delaware City Fire Company draped an American flag from the ladders. The fire company welcomes home Mike. We missed you and we are glad you and the rest of the members from your unit are home safe.
