At 1918 hours the Communications Center alerted Station 13 (Claymont), Station 25 (Talleyville), and Station 11 for a residential fire in the Ashbourne Hills Community. Upon arrival of Deputy 13 he had a 2 story residential structure with fire showing from the rear. This report added Station 20 for the RIT assignment as well as BLS, ALS, and the Fire Marshalls Office. Rescue 20 responded under the command of Assistant Chief Bobby Maxwell. Upon Rescue 20's arrival the crew placed ground ladders where needed and assisted in ventilation. Command then reassigned Rescue 20's crew to check for fire extension and assist with salvage and overhaul operations. Rescue 20 cleared the scene at 2141 hours. Units on the scene were Deputy 13, 13-5, 11-5, 25-3, Ladder 13, Rescue 11, Rescue 20, B-13, B-25, N.C.C. EMS, Delaware State Fire Marshall, and N.C.C. Police.
